R & R Day: Restless and Ready...

Spent the day today trying to figure out how to spend my day. I got up early, then went back to sleep. But that didn't last long. I got out of bed, threw on my cycling clothes and pulled out my bike and headed over to the city across the Bridge. Not hard, not easy either... just a little ride to not let my legs forget we have some work to do this coming week.
Bike laundry day...

Got back to the hotel, and many of my Million Dollar Challenge training partners were arriving. Most with encouraging words from our crazy ride north. That felt good. But mostly I remembered the feeling of 'uh oh' and 'this is gonna be hard' from last year. Getting to San Francisco is not the goal, it's only halftime. I still have 620 miles to go to San Diego... so really, I'm not even half way done. It was only 550 miles up!

I also started out this morning without Cody and Mark. We had developed into a nice rhythm. It was just a bit strange to change the tune at this stage. I'm gonna see Mark on the way down, but in a different capacity and I'm going to have to share him with 100 other people. And Cody is safely back in San Diego with his legs up!

I did manage to squeeze a message into my busy schedule. The Cavallo Point Spa is very nice. In fact, the entire property is very nice and I think I'll add it to the list next time Darcy and I come to SF.

The program began last night for MDC. We are again doing the photo contest so if you want to search for everyone's pics (not just mine), look for the hash tag #CycleForCAF on instagram, facebook and twitter... it should be entertaining.

Day 1 of MDC begins in the morning.... Yeah!
